Target announces LEGO drop as part of Fall Geek-Out

US retailer Target has announced that LEGO products will be part of its autumnal collectibles drop.

Target regularly plays host to seasonal drops of collectibles from ‘all your favourite fandoms and brands’, ranging from Star Wars books to Funko Pops and the retailer has just confirmed that LEGO products will be part of the autumn drop, known as the Fall Geek-Out. In practice, this will be six weeks worth of new collectible items available to buy, with new items dropping every Friday.

For the LEGO products, Target has announced that the LEGO drop will come on Friday, September 1. It’s not yet been suggested what sets will be released as part of the drop, but it could well be an early chance to get your hands on an upcoming set. The Brick Fan has suggested it could even be 21343 Viking Village, seeing as it was the first LEGO Ideas x Target set that fans voted for.

Otherwise, the timing of the drop would suggest that it could be any other September 1 release. Of course, we’ll have to wait until the beginning of September to find out for sure what Target and the LEGO Group have in store for us, so stay tuned until then.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
