The longest LEGO sets of all time – August 2023

Some LEGO sets are the biggest ever made and some are the tallest, but a unique selection makes up the longest models ever designed.

It’s been a year since our last list of the longest LEGO sets of all time but with recent massive releases, the line-up has significantly changed. Models including 10318 Concorder have found a place in this list.

Here’s a guide to the longest LEGO sets ever released, according to official descriptions and considering the width as the length where appropriate.

9 – 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer

Theme: Star Wars Price: £249.99 / $269.99 / €269.99 Pieces: 3,103 Available: Retired Length: 93cm

10030 Imperial Star Destroyer remains an especially long LEGO Star Wars set, but still the shortest on this list at just over 90cm long.

8 – 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V

Theme: Ideas Price: £104.99 / $119.99 / €119.99 Pieces: 1,969 Available: Retired Length: 100cm

92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V has now retired, though its height of 100cm could be considered its length when displayed horizontally on the included stands, taking the list to triple digits.

7 (tied) – 75978 Diagon Alley

Theme: Harry Potter Price: £349.99 / $449.99 / €399.99 Pieces: 5,544 Available: Now Length: 102cm

Just over 100cm long, 75978 Diagon Alley is tied for sixth place but is about to be nearly as relevant as when it launched with the upcoming arrival of the long-awaited Gringotts expansion – 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition. Together, the two sets could possibly top the list.

7 (tied) – 10214 Tower Bridge

Theme: Creator Expert Price: £219.99 / $239.99 / €219.99 Pieces: 4,295 Available: Retired Length: 102cm

The retired 10214 Tower Bridge still sits in sixth place with a detailed, but simple recreation of an iconic London landmark.

At 118cm, 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition isn’t quite the longest LEGO set of all time but that doesn’t stop it from being a heartwarming homage to Harry Potter, featuring the last scene from the films.

Theme: Star Wars Price: £349.99 / $399.99 / €399.99 Pieces: 3,152 Available: Retired Length: 124.5cm

Considering its length in-universe, a scale model of the Super Star Destroyer would make a great longest LEGO set of all time, but 10221 Super Star Destroyer comes up a bit short at 124.5cm.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
