The Mandalorian Season 3 to bring ‘resolution’ to current Star Wars shows

Star Wars: The Mandalorian director Rick Famuwiya says the final two episodes of Season 3 will bring ‘resolution’ to both Mando’s show and The Book of Boba Fett.

Famuwiya – who has so far directed four episodes of The Mandalorian across all three seasons – will also helm the remaining two episodes of Season 3, and took to the stage at Star Wars Celebration’s Lucasfilm Studio Showcase to tease what audiences can expect from the last two chapters.

According to Star Wars Holocron, Famuwiya stated that the remaining episodes will bring ‘resolution’ to The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Showrunner Jon Favreau, meanwhile, was quoted as saying the story of The Mandalorian is ready to ‘culminate’.

Together, those quotes suggest this season may wrap up at least Din Djarin’s story, perhaps passing on the baton to Bo-Katan Kryze or other characters for future seasons of The Mandalorian. Favreau has already confirmed that he’s working on Season 4, so we know there’s more to come – and it will apparently be informed by the Ahsoka series debuting this year.

What shape that will take exactly remains to be seen, but going by these quotes, it wouldn’t be a major shock if Din Djarin wasn’t part of that story.

Attendees at Star Wars Celebration were given a sneak peek at the next episode of The Mandalorian, which will be screened in full at the convention at 6pm tonight on the Celebration, Galaxy and Twin Stuns stages.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
