The next LEGO Ideas GWP has been officially revealed

Following a short delay, the next LEGO Ideas GWP from the STEM contest has been officially revealed as another tribute model.

Galileo Galilei is next on the list of historical figures to be getting a LEGO set as the results of the STEM contest have been confirmed. The winning project, pictured above, is from Firecracker_ and as well as winning the chance to have their project be turned into a future gift, they’re also going home with 21332 The Globe, 42130 BMW M 1000 RR, 42139 All-terrain vehicle, 42120 Rescue Hovercraft, 40487 Sailboat Adventure and 40448 Vintage Car.

Based on the name and design of the winning submission, it seems likely that this will be another tribute GWP in the same style as 40410 Charles Dickens Tribute, 40450 Amelia Earhart Tribute and 40530 Jane Goodall Tribute.

The winning model depicts Galileo in a study with a micro heliocentric model that rotates, a telescope, and a bookshelf and is made up of 250 pieces. Note that the image used above is only the fan design and does not depict the final product that will be available in the future.

The five runners-up won’t be seeing their builds become a GWP, but they have won 42130 BMW M 1000 RR, 42120 Rescue Hovercraft, 40487 Sailboat Adventure and 40448 Vintage Car.

The tribute won the contest with 1,432 votes and signals the ending of another event on the platform, though the LEGO Ideas team have recently opened another contest based on The Rolling Stones.
