The real LEGO Adidas shoes go on sale tomorrow

Heads up: the Adidas Originals LEGO Superstar sneakers go on sale tomorrow, which is great news if you’re after a LEGO shoe you can actually wear.

Of course, you could try wearing 10282 Adidas Originals Superstar – nobody’s going to stop you – but we can’t imagine it would be very pleasant. By contrast, the muted Adidas Originals LEGO Superstar sneakers look like pure comfort, and are probably the most subtle design to come out of the entire collaboration between the LEGO Group and Adidas.

Originally said to be launching on July 1, they’ll actually go on sale at Adidas tomorrow, July 30, at 9am BST and midnight PDT. Those are two different times, so make sure you’re on the right version of the site at the right time to get your hands on the kicks.

The Adidas Original LEGO Superstar shoes will retail for £110 in the UK and $140 in the US, and yes, you’ll get both the left and right sneakers in a single purchase (unlike 10282 Adidas Originals Superstar, which includes elements for either foot, but crucially only one at a time).

The UK storefront states that the shoe is available exclusively online and in-store, but neither webpage mentions how much supply will be available. Given there’s a countdown to launch, though, it feels safe to assume that they’ll be pretty limited, and could therefore easily sell out very quickly tomorrow. If you’re keen, make sure to bookmark the relevant page at Adidas.

If LEGO shoes are more your thing, 10282 Adidas Originals Superstar is still available to order at LEGO.com. Check out our full review of the surprisingly fascinating build right here.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
