Five things we’ve spotted in LEGO Animal Crossing’s trailer
LEGO Animal Crossing is officially coming in the future and the theme’s teaser trailer is rife with details that offer clues for the theme’s contents.
Featuring the first Nintendo minifigures, LEGO Animal Crossing has had its first trailer debuted, confirming a new video game theme to enjoy in the future. While we wait to hear more, all we can do is analyse the trailer for all of its secrets.
Here are things we’ve spotted in the first LEGO Animal Crossing trailer from spots on minifigures you may have missed to brand-new bricks.
5 – Accessory slots

Similar to LEGO Friends and Trolls: World Tour, LEGO Animal Crossing’s minifigures feature accessory slots on the top of their heads. So far, we’ve seen slots on every minifigure apart from Julian the horse, Fauna the deer and Isabelle the Shih Tzu. Everything from sunglasses to party hats can be inserted into these slots for extra customisation.
4 – A new tree base

The trees in Animal Crossing have a distinct appearance that has remained unchanged apart from minor visual differences between the games. In LEGO Animal Crossing, a new brick is being for the base of the trees and they’re able to hold three fruits – perfect for selling for extra bells.
3 –Versatile head elements

Of the eight new head elements showcased for LEGO Animal Crossing, at least seven are ideal for depicting other characters in the series. From Rover the cat to Timmy and Tommy the racoons, these heads are especially versatile for creating other villagers in the future.
2 – A balloon present

At the end of the teaser, the minifigures wave goodbye to a balloon present. In the game, these can be shot down to earn everything from furniture to bells and the LEGO design appears to feature panel elements in a three-by-two stud space, leaving room for a stud or tile element within.
1 – New Horizons outfits

Kapp’n and Tom Nook’s outfits are taken directly from Animal Crossing: New Horizons – the most recent entry in the series. Paired with the game’s over 40 million copies sold and it appears that the LEGO sets will take inspiration from the island-based title.
