Thousands expected to attend this year’s LEGO Skærbæk Fan Weekend

Skærbæk Fan Weekend will be taking place in just a few days, attracting thousands of Adult Fans of LEGO from around the world.

One of the biggest annual events for AFOLs is right round the corner, with this year’s Skærbæk Fan Weekend taking place from September 24 to 25. Attendees from more than 35 countries are expected to be travelling to the small Danish coastal town, which is about 50 miles south of Billund, home of the LEGO Group.

A special pre-show event will be taking place at the LEGO House on September 22, with some lucky AFOLs getting to watch presentations from designers and even get their LEGO boxes signed. The full Skærbæk Fan Weekend then kicks off on September 24, with all manner of activities such as building competitions, raffles, workshops, games, retail stands and much more to see and do over the two days.

Skærbæk Fan Weekend is a Recognised AFOL Networking Event, giving those that make the long journey to the show the chance to meet and chat with thousands of likeminded folk from around the globe. Registration for the event has now closed, but Skærbæk Fan Weekend’s social media platforms will be adding regular updates on what’s happening at the show for those who won’t be able to make it there in person.

Previous Skærbæk Fan Weekends have included appearances from the LEGO Lead User Lab project and LEGO Product Technology, with a number of models created by staff – including designers, engineers and executives – on display at the LEGO House last year to tie-in to the event.
