Tiffany Haddish joins the cast of The LEGO Movie Sequel
Tiffany Haddish has signed on to voice a character in The LEGO Movie Sequel, the animated sequel that is due for release in 2019.
While 2018 may be a quiet year for LEGO movies after 2017’s double dip with The LEGO Batman Movie and The LEGO NINJAGO Movie, 2019 will see the LEGO cinematic brick bucket return with The LEGO Movie Sequel. Although details have been scarce, it is now confirmed by the Hollywood Reporter that Tiffany Haddish will join the voice cast of the animated comedy.
Haddish starred in the comedy movie Girls Trip and will appear soon in The Last O.G. The actor will join Chris Pratt, Elisabeth Banks and Will Arnett who all reprise their roles from The LEGO Movie. Phil Lord and Chris Miller, directors of the original 2014 movie, are back in the capacity of producers and screenwriters. During interviews last year, the creatives behind the project revealed that the new film will deal with how children of different genders play with toys.
The LEGO Movie Sequel will be released on February 8, 2019.
