The LEGO Group is out in full force at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 with another themed booth, this time hooked to the twin SMART Play lines of Star Wars and Pokémon.
Following last year’s meta comic-con booth and the iconic 2023 Brickbuster setup, this year’s LEGO SDCC booth is designed to resemble an airport with two destinations: Mos Eisley spaceport or Pokémon lab. Behind those portals are spaces designed to promote the new LEGO Star Wars and Pokémon SMART Play sets, complete with oversized elements and minifigures.
Beyond the Brick is on the ground at San Diego Comic-Con once again, and has published a full video tour of the booth. Check that out below.
The airport theming is pretty strong even if it feels a bit disconnected from the SMART Play experience, with a check-in desk, luggage tower and more situated around the outside of the booth. There’s even a departures board with LEGO-related destinations and arrivals, although BIONICLE’s Metru Nui flight is unfortunately cancelled.
There are multiple photo opportunities across both themed areas, including the chance to decide whether Greedo shoots first and a life-sized version of the karaoke bar featured in 75425 Mos Eisley Cantina. The Pokémon area features a ‘Hide and Pikachu’ game, interactive Poké Balls that correspond to giant starter Pokémon and more.
Around the back of the booth there are several display cabinets featuring a variety of licensed LEGO sets, including all three of today’s new reveals: 71053 Shrek Minifigures, 11385 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge and 72051 Donkey Kong Arcade.
That Super Mario-themed arcade machine is also out and playable somewhere on the show floor, as Beyond the Brick has gone hands-on to test out the functionality. Head here for more on that.
