Two LEGO sets return to the Australian online store as GWPs

The official Australian online LEGO store’s latest gift-with-purchase items are in fact two returning sets from previous promotions.

Following this year’s LEGO Star Wars Day event ending on May 7, there are currently no GWP items listed on the official online stores in the UK, US or Europe. However, it’s a different story in Australia, where two sets are now available with qualifying spends, albeit models that have previously been made available with past promotions.

Those in the territory who make purchases of $300 AUD online (and via LEGO Catalogue telephone orders in Australia) will be eligible to receive a free LEGO Icons 40586 Moving Truck, while stocks last. The 301-piece set was last available from February 21 to March 3 with qualifying spends of £160 / $180 / €180 or more. The latest promotion on LEGO.com in Australia matches that price, with the offer running from May 11 to May 21, 2023. In addition, another blast from the past is also available to customers down under in the shape of 30510 90 Years of Cars. The promotional period for this LEGO Classic set also runs from May 11 to May 21, 2023, with the free polybag added to shopping carts when making spends of $65 AUD and above. The 71-piece set was first released in 2022 to celebrate the LEGO Group’s 90 Years of Play event, although the model proved to be something of an elusive find for collectors.

Of course, it will also be possible to stack both LEGO GWP items when making purchases of $300 AUD or more, which isn’t a bad haul. There’s no word on whether other territories will be getting the returning promotions from tomorrow, but the Australian online LEGO store recently benefitted from 40589 Pirate Ship Playground (which has yet to appear elsewhere), so we’re not counting our chickens just yet.
