UCS LEGO Death Star gets the Micro NINJAGO City treatment

The massive UCS LEGO Death Star isn’t out for a few more weeks, but one fan has quickly given it the Micro NINJAGO City treatment.

The colossal collection of LEGO NINJAGO sets is one of the biggest ranges of LEGO sets currently on the market. It features five sets that combine to form an extensive city scene. This collection is expensive and a challenge to display, though. That may be why the LEGO Group decided to transform four of these five builds into micro forms.

The Micro LEGO NINJAGO City sets depict miniature versions of their respective sets using a fraction of the elements, and costing a fraction as much (in LEGO Insiders points). This miniaturisation of some of the biggest LEGO sets has now inspired a micro version of the new 75419 Death Star.

Evilkirk on Rebrickable joins other fans in devising new forms for the $1,000 Death Star set with their micro UCS Death Star model. Their design uses 224 pieces, which is just 2.5% of the total part count of 75419 Death Star. The user stresses that these elements are all common as well.

The micro Death Star depicts almost all of the rooms from the big build, but on a much smaller scale. It’s a decent option for anyone who can’t afford the new set, or as a fun accompaniment to 75419 Death Star, similar to NINJAGO City and its micro models.

75419 Death Star launches for LEGO Insiders on October 1, with a wide release on October 4. It can be yours for £899.99 / $999.99 / €999.99, and there will be a free 40771 TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack GWP for LEGO Insiders members until October 7 (or while stocks last).

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
