Vote now on the next LEGO Ideas space sets

It’s time to vote on the next LEGO Ideas space sets as there’s one week to decide which two projects you want to become a LEGO Insiders Reward.

The LEGO Ideas cosmos challenge is coming to a close as it moves to the fan vote phase, announcing which 24 projects now stand a chance at being a future LEGO Ideas set.

As previously confirmed, the fan vote will solely determine which projects in the vehicle and base categories become a LEGO Insiders reward set in the future. There will be one for each category and there is one vote per user per category too.

You have until March 8 to vote but there is a technical issue at the time of writing on LEGO Ideas that is preventing the 24 selected entries from showing on the challenge page, instead displaying all 624 entries into the challenge. We’ve picked out the finalists and you can click the link in the caption of each image to cast your vote until the website is fixed. Alternatively, the LEGO Ideas blog has a full list.

Bases

For the bases, many of the designs depict microscale space stations but some have opted for innovative folding or modular features. There’s even a LEGO Classic Space monorail model to vote on. You can only pick one though.

Vehicles

The vehicles are decidedly more varied with surprisingly no Classic Space vehicles. Instead, there’s a transforming drone rover and all manner of sleek flying and swimming vehicles that all house at least one minifigure.

The prizes

The winners of this challenge, of which there will be one per category, will be offered the chance to see their submission become a LEGO Insiders reward set in the future.

They will also win 10 copies of their finished set and five space-themed LEGO sets (10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery21340 Tales of the Space Age, 31152 Astronaut42158 NASA Mars Rover Perseverance and 42180 Mars Crew Exploration Rover). Four runners-up will win 42180 Mars Crew Exploration Rover and 21340 Tales of the Space Age.

The winner announcement is currently scheduled for March 13 but the blog cautions that this may be delayed by a few days.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.

Congratulations to all participants! I designed the City Far Away, go check it out and maybe, if you like it, vote for it. It would help a lot!
