We’re finally getting a LEGO Star Wars Phase 2 Commander Cody minifigure

A new LEGO Star Wars Phase 2 Commander Cody minifigure has finally been confirmed as part of an upcoming AT-TE model.

With the official reveal of 75337 AT-TE Walker, the LEGO Group has confirmed that the rumours of a Phase 2 Commander Cody minifigure are true, bringing the long-requested minifigure to fans very soon.

The long-rumoured minifigure is one that fans have been clamouring for online and their wishes have been granted as the visor-toting commander comes in the new 75337 AT-TE Walker alongside four other clones and three droid figures.

The classic design of Commander Cody’s armour is printed on the minifigure with a visor attached to the helmet, as the Phase 2 helmets appear to have a pair of holes in the side for connecting such accessories.

The character was last included in a LEGO Star Wars set in 2011 in 7959 Geonosian Starfighter and has otherwise only been featured in 7676 Republic Attack Gunship in 2008. However, those minifigures were both based on his Phase 1 armour, and the Phase 2 appearance is one that we have never seen before for the character.

For those who have been collecting LEGO Star Wars for some time, you can now pair two of the most recognisable clones in their Phase 2 armour with Captain Rex in 75012 BARC Speeder with Sidecar and Commander Cody in 75337 AT-TE Walker.

75337 AT-TE Walker launches on  August 1 for £119.99 / $139.99 / €139.99.
