Next month, a colossal LEGO Jurassic Park T. rex skeleton set is being launched, and there’s a history lesson to be learnt before you start building.

The LEGO Jurassic Park and Jurassic World fossil collection is expanding in a major way next month with the 3,145-piece 76968 Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus rex, choosing the iconic dinosaur again for the biggest fossil model across any theme to date. One question remains though – why is the T. rex so popular to warrant not one but two fossil sets in two years?
