You can now order the brand new LEGO 10295 Porsche 911 directly from LEGO.com

LEGO 10295 Porsche 911 is now available to order online or pick up at LEGO Stores (where they’re open) – as long as you’re a VIP member.

Signing up to the LEGO Group’s loyalty program won’t cost you a penny, and in return you’ll get all kinds of benefits, including points to spend against future purchases and early access to LEGO sets. Like 10295 Porsche 911, for example, which is only available to VIP members until March 1.

The latest 18+ set is actually a 2-in-1 model, configurable as either a Turbo coupe or Targa convertible. You can’t construct both at the same time (unless you buy two!), but dismantling and rebuilding the final couple of bags to switch between both models should give the set some extra longevity.

There’s also a small bonus for early adopters in the form of a Porsche owners’ pack, which – like the car itself – is available exclusively to VIP members, while stocks last. The collectible set includes a certificate of ownership, a card wallet and four art prints.

You’re out of luck if you’re in North America, though, as the LEGO Group has cancelled the promo in the US and Canada over ‘shipping challenges’. Still, that hopefully won’t dissuade you from picking up what looks to be another fine addition to the large System vehicle collection.

You’ll need to part with £119.99 / $149.99 / €129.99 to do so, which – if you’re in the UK and Europe – will also put you in reaching distance of 40416 Ice Skating Rink. December’s gift-with-purchase has reappeared at LEGO.com with the same £150 / €150 threshold, so topping up your order could prove worth your while.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
