You could be the next LEGO Master Model Builder in Tokyo

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Tokyo is on the hunt for their new Master Model Builder in a contest that requires some serious LEGO skills.

The contest, which begun on June 1, has multiple rounds and will see the winner become the Master Model Builder for LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Tokyo. Like other locations around the world, including New Jersey, a similarly unique audition process is being held to find the perfect candidate.

The contest will have three rounds, with two screening periods and a final, deciding session. The first screening is open until July 11 and the best candidate of the first round will walk away with a grand prize of 100,000 Yen, with two subsequent prizes of 50,000 Yen and 30,000 Yen.

Whilst applicants ideally need to be based in Tokyo and over the age of 18 to enter, a junior version of the competition will also be held for a secondary role. This contest will be similar to the one for older entrants, but the builds in the second screening will all be displayed at the attraction instead.

The winner, much like the main contest, will be crowned the Junior Model Builder and will assist the Master Model Builder with their work as well as appear at special events for LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Tokyo.

You can find everything you need to know about this exciting opportunity as well as entering it here, and it will be interesting to see what process takes place for the new destination in Brussels.
