LEGO ICONS 10304 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 might offer insight into price rises

Price rises for around a quarter of the current LEGO portfolio are coming later this year, but 10304 Chevrolet Camaro Z28’s cost may have risen too.

Official information for 10304 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 sent to Brick Fanatics by the LEGO Group stated that the upcoming creation would cost $149.99. However, when it went live on the official online store, it was listed at a price of $169.99 in the US.

The other regional pricing is correct according to the information we received but this might suggest that the cost of 10304 Chevrolet Camaro changed during production in light of the confirmed price changes coming later in 2022.

This is only speculation until confirmation arrives but with the knowledge that many models will increase in price later this year combined with the change as listed on the official online store and 10304 Chevrolet Camaro Z28’s press release, it suggests that this could offer insight into the extent of the price rises.

The difference between $149.99 and $169.99 is about 13%. A reported list of potential price increases for the US roughly matches this percentage change, though that list has not been confirmed as accurate at the time of writing.

When asked for comment, the LEGO Group only advised that the price online is correct.

10304 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 will be available from August 1, 2022, for £149.99 / $169.99 / €169.99.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
