LEGO Marvel 76250 Wolverine’s Adamantium Claws revealed

An Australian LEGO Certified Store has published the first images of 76250 Wolverine’s Adamantium Claws, a brand new 18+ Marvel set based on the upcoming X-Men ’97 series.

The display model consists of 596 pieces, and depicts Wolverine’s blue-gloved hand with adamantium claws deployed. It’s not the first fist to come out of the LEGO Marvel line – that honour goes to 76191 Infinity Gauntlet, which was followed in 2022 by 76223 Nano Gauntlet – but it is the first based on the X-Men. Marvel’s mutant franchise has been getting a tiny bit more love from the LEGO Group lately, but only really as far as Wolverine.

76250 Wolverine’s Adamantium Claws doesn’t so much disrupt that trend as dive headfirst into it, marking the second X-Men ’97 set to focus on Logan. The first was June’s 76257 Wolverine Construction Figure, which is available now in the UK and Europe (but still not listed on LEGO.com in the US, curiously). Rumours suggest that X-Men minifigures will finally follow in the second series of Marvel Collectible Minifigures, which is said to be on the way in September.

But if you’re specifically in the market for a dark blue fist with light grey claws protruding from its knuckles – and why wouldn’t you be – 76250 Wolverine’s Adamantium Claws will apparently be available to buy from August 1, 2023. That’s according to Bricks Megastore, which has listed the black-box set with a $109.99 price tag in Australia. Expect it to retail for roughly £59.99 in the UK and $69.99 / €69.99 in the US and Europe.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
