Avatar: The Way of Water reportedly passes Titanic at international box office

A third, fourth and fifth Avatar film is looking more likely as The Way of Water reportedly passes James Cameron’s Titanic at the box office.

According to Deadline, Avatar: The Way of Water is estimated to have overtaken another of James Cameron’s films – Titanic – at the international box office, becoming the third highest-grossing movie of all time internationally. While this does not include the domestic box office for worldwide rankings, it’s another sign of success for the sequel.

Avatar: The Way of Water has a range of LEGO sets now available as does the Titanic – the ship, not the movie based on real events. This reported milestone is just the latest for the sequel as it continues its run in cinemas worldwide.

Provided the report is accurate and Avatar: The Way of Water retains this momentum, the next target for it could be Avengers: Endgame and the original Avatar, both of which have LEGO sets too.

However, the upcoming rerelease of Titanic for the 25th anniversary on February 10 may mean that the Avatar sequel won’t hold the title of the third highest-grossing film for long.

10294 Titanic is available to order now on the official online store as is the new range of LEGO Avatar sets.
