Bad news, that LEGO Ted Lasso is a custom minifigure

As expected, the LEGO Ted Lasso minifigure that surfaced online earlier this week is a custom minifigure, not an official design.

The team at Byron Bricks have claimed the LEGO Ted Lasso minifigure revealed as part of a promotional Apple TV package for the series as their own. Provided photos on Instagram confirm that this minifigure is a custom and not an official minifigure. That doesn’t make it any easier to pick up though.

It’s likely that the Ted Lasso minifigure is part of a limited run, made only for the promotional pack and licensed accordingly. Those wanting to grab one will have to hope that the media who received this package eventually sell it on the secondary market, provided that happens at all.

With the chances of ever finding this minifigure seeming more unlikely than ever, you can at least watch an unboxing of the promotional items thanks to Brad Galli on Twitter.

It’s still a great custom from the team, resembling a standard minifigure closely through its printing. However, don’t get your hopes up about any kind of official LEGO Ted Lasso representation because of this minifigure.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
