There’s a LEGO Ted Lasso minifigure, as long as you can find it

A LEGO Ted Lasso minifigure has been revealed as part of a promotional package, but you’re not likely to find it.

Based on the comedy drama of the same name, coach Ted Lasso has a minifigure, though potentially an unofficial one. As documented by Steven Weintraub of Collider,  the promotional package for the Apple TV streaming series includes several items related to or based on the show.

This includes the LEGO minifigure of Ted Lasso. The design of the prints may look official but there is nothing to confirm that this is an official minifigure produced by the LEGO Group. It may simply be a custom designed by a professional outside of the company, hired by the team that put the package together.

Either way, it’s an interesting take on the character for those who watch the series to appreciate, even though the chances of ever finding this character are about as limited as the number of these promotional kits that have been sent out.

The minifigure includes an exclusive face print and torso representing AFC Richmond, both of which could have been printed by a source outside of the LEGO Group.

While the LEGO Group has explored streaming series before including some from Disney+ and Netflix’s Stranger Things, this doesn’t seem likely to be a sign of things to come.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
