Best price yet on LEGO Ideas 2023 release

Score the lowest price we’ve seen on a highly-anticipated arrival to the LEGO Ideas theme, harking back to the best and brightest of LEGO Vikings.

John Lewis has dropped the price of LEGO Ideas 21343 Viking Village, only released a few short months ago, to just £99.99, the lowest price we’ve seen on the set so far. That shaves off a tidy £25 – not too bad for a recent release and definitely not for a set as appealing as this.

From top to bottom, LEGO Ideas 21343 Viking Village is an impressive set. The wood-style buildings are packed with weapons, food, and Viking treasures galore packed, with the interiors left easily accessible by lifting away the plated rooves of the buildings. The entire set is secured on a blue base that represents its rocky outcrop in the middle of the ocean.

All in all, 21343 Viking Village beautifully captures the spirit of the long-dormant LEGO Vikings theme. The four minifigures are well kitted out in authentic outfits to guard and populate the brick-built village, while the warm wood colours and bright blue and green decor details make for a highly attractive set.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
