Better image of LEGO 40594 Houses of the World 3 surfaces online

The LEGO Group’s building instructions portal has given us our best look yet at the upcoming LEGO 40594 Houses of the World 3 gift-with-purchase.

A blurry image of the third entry in a four-part series – following 40583 Houses of the World 1 and 40590 Houses of the World 2 – landed online earlier this week through a legal document, but the building instructions server has now debuted a much clearer look at the two-storey chalet. Where the first two houses in this series were inspired by Central America and North Africa, this one appears to be taking us to Scandinavia.

The architecture here resembles a mountainside lodge, with logs piled up outside, an axe for chopping them up and even a pair of ski poles in a barrel by the door. The cosy alpine vibes continue upstairs, where a wooden balcony boasts stickered shutters and floral décor. It’s another radically different model in this increasingly varied series, which continues to take us to locales rarely visited in LEGO bricks.

There’s still no word on when 40594 Houses of the World 3 will be available, but if it follows suit from the previous two gifts-with-purchase, it’s likely to be free with a £220 / $250 / €250 spend across everything and anything from LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores, exclusively for VIP members. Those are the conditions that need to be met for 40590 Houses of the World 2, which is still available online and in-store.

Its second run wraps up today, though, so you’ll need to be quick if you want the second set in the collection. 40594 Houses of the World 3 feels destined to be available in July given the timing of this reveal, but we’ll keep you posted on definitive dates.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

I’d say more Swiss than Scandinavian, considering where the alpines are 😛
