Biggest LEGO City Space set available at a major discount

This year’s flagship LEGO City Space set is already available with an out-of-this-world discount at GAME, where you can save 20% on 60434 Space Base and Rocket Launchpad.

The biggest space-themed LEGO City set to hit shelves in 2024 (so far), 60434 Space Base and Rocket Launchpad packs in 1,422 pieces and usually retails for £124.99 in the UK – but you can snag it from GAME right now for just £100. That’s a 20% saving on the RRP of this interstellar set, which includes a tower crane, spaceship, launchpad, truck, terrain, six minifigures and two aliens.

It’s one of those all-encompassing sets that packs in everything any budding astronaut could hope for, all through the lens of the LEGO City 2024 range’s vibrant white and reddish orange colour scheme. You can check it out for yourself (while keeping £25 in your pocket for, say, 60430 Interstellar Spaceship, one of the year’s best smaller City sets) at GAME.

60434 Space Base and Rocket Launchpad is anchored around its towering crane, which can rotate 360 degrees, and packs in a control room, equipment carousel, science lab and ‘refreshment area’, for when your astronauts are all tuckered out from mining crystals and fending off little green men. The set’s spaceship also includes an airlock component to allow it to connect to the rest of the LEGO City space range.

GAME charges a flat delivery fee of £4.99 per order, with an estimated arrival time of three to five days. (You can pay extra for Express or Next Day Delivery.) You’ll still save £20 on the total price of 60434 Space Base and Rocket Launchpad, but if you have the funds available, you can increase your savings by taking advantage of GAME’s other LEGO deals, such as those below.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
