Closer look at MYTHICA area now open at LEGOLAND Deutschland

LEGOLAND Deutschland’s latest expansion has been explored as the second MYTHICA area, based on the original LEGO property, is now open.

Debuting at LEGOLAND Windsor in 2021, LEGOLAND Deutschland’s version of MYTHICA is open as of March 25, 2023. To celebrate the opening of the land, a new YouTube video is giving us the best look yet at the second MYTHICA area.

The main difference between MYTHICA at LEGOLAND Windsor and Deutschland is that the flying theatre has been switched out for a wing coaster, both based on the flying lion, Maximus. Despite this change, the ride building still has the giant Maximus build attached to it.

The coaster at LEGOLAND Deutschland features inversions, giant models and ride vehicles that resemble the Maximus model featured in 40556 Mythica. Footage of the coaster running is included in the video, and it seems to be more thrilling than most rides at LEGOLAND parks.

LEGOLAND Deutschland’s MYTHICA also has a zone to build custom creations, two drop towers, an entrance tunnel and a play area.

The resort has also revealed that the new area is open from March 25, 2023. It seems likely that the corresponding LEGO set, 40556 Mythica, will also be sold at the park though this has not been confirmed. You can read our review of the model by clicking here
