Deadpool & Wolverine promo art hints at multiple mercs with mouths

There may be more than one merc with a mouth in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine, if a new piece of promotional art proves to be true.

The first teaser trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine dropped during this year’s Super Bowl, giving us our first look at the upcoming MCU movie. The film represents the only Marvel Studios release planned for 2024, bringing with it a highly-anticipated meeting of both fan-favourite mutants.

The initial footage for Deadpool & Wolverine suggests the movie will be retaining its more mature rating, while introducing Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson to the wider Marvel multiverse. Rumours suggest that a number of characters from across the width and breadth of the MCU may also be making cameo appearances in the film, but there’s been no confirmation as to who they might be so far.

Adding more fuel to the fire is a new piece of what’s purported to be official Deadpool & Wolverine promotional artwork, featuring what may be multiple versions of the merc with a mouth. ComicBookMovie (via kepleravocado) has revealed an image of Wolverine in his classic blue and yellow X-Men costume as seen in the teaser, as well as some other faces familiar to comic book fans.

Silhouettes of Babypool, Kid Deadpool, Deadpool, Dogpool and zombie Headpool can be spotted on the artwork, potentially suggesting all of the characters might be popping up in some capacity in the film. The Deadpool Variants are from various alternate Earths and may well show up as a result of Deadpool being recruited by the TVA, as seen in the trailer.

No LEGO Marvel sets based on Deadpool & Wolverine have been revealed so far and are highly unlikely to be, if the mature content of the previous movies in the series is anything to go by.

Deadpool & Wolverine will be released worldwide on July 26, 2024.
