Disney D23 Expo 2024 panels confirmed for Star Wars news

The next Disney D23 Expo is coming this year and the dates and major panels have been confirmed for updates on Marvel, Star Wars and more.

The last Disney D23 Expo took place in 2022, revealing updates for Star Wars series and Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. The event usually proves to be a good source of announcements for anything under the Disney banner and now, we know when to look out for the 2024 event’s updates.

D23 Expo 2024 is taking place from August 9 to 11 and tickets are available now. Those tuning in or looking for updates online will want to know that each day of the event has one major panel.

For August 9, the Disney Entertainment Showcase is happening likely with updates on animated movies, Star Wars projects and Marvel announcements.

On August 10, the Disney Experiences Showcase could feature reveals for Disney’s investment in Epic Games, though it could be too early, as well as updates for the various theme parks and the cruise line.

August 11’s main event is a Disney Legends ceremony. Of the three, LEGO enthusiasts will likely want to keep an eye out for the Disney Entertainment Showcase on August 9 as it will almost certainly relate most to potential future LEGO Star Wars and Marvel sets.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
