Everything announced for Marvel at D23 Expo 2022

Marvel Studios had a lot to show at the D23 Expo 2022, including a brand new team of characters and more details for phase six films.

Here’s your guide to everything announced for Marvel Studios at the D23 Expo 2022:

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

The next Marvel Studios movie to release kicked off the Marvel segment of the panel, after a live recreation of Rogers: The Musical from Hawkeye, with a clip shown only to attendees for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Ironheart

Ironheart was next with a new logo for the Disney+ series. Like Black Panther, Wakanda Forever, a teaser for the series was revealed but only to attendees of the D23 Expo 2022.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

For Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the cast appeared on stage to discuss the film which is currently scheduled for February 17, 2023. Unfortunately, there was no trailer for this project at the D23 Expo, only a clip for those at the panel in-person to watch.

Werewolf by Night

Werewolf by Night has been officially announced, a new Disney+ special that will see the supernatural side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe explored. It will be directed by Michael Giacchino, who has previously composed scores including for Spider-Man: No Way Home. It will star Gael Garcia Bernal and Laura Donnelly.

Secret Invasion

The first trailer for Secret Invasion, an upcoming Disney+ series coming in 2023 featuring Nick Fury, was shown and released online.

Armor Wars

Armor Wars was confirmed to still be in development, with a new logo too.

Loki Season 2

Footage for the second season of Loki was showcased at the panel, though it was not made available online.

Fantastic Four

Matt Shakman was announced to be officially directing the Marvel Cinematic Universe Fantastic Four movie releasing on November 8, 2024.

Echo

spoilers for the end of Hawkeye – Following the events of Hawkeye, Kingpin was revealed to have survived in footage at the panel and will return in Echo, a new series streaming in summer 2023.

Daredevil: Born Again

Other than a logo, no reveals for Daredevil: Born Again were present at the D23 Expo 2022 as filming was said to be starting next year.

Captain America: New World Order

More details for the fourth Captain America movie were announced as well as a new logo, including the reported return of The Leader from The Incredible Hulk movie.

Thunderbolts

A first look at the team in the Thunderbolts movie was showcased, following rumours of the lineup. It includes Yelena, Red Guardian, the Winter Soldier, US Agent, Taskmaster, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and Ghost.

The Marvels

Rounding out the Marvel reveals was The Marvels, showcasing the first footage from the film, though not to those tuning in online. This is due on July 28, 2023.
