Don’t get your hopes up for more LEGO Star Wars: Skeleton Crew sets

The chances of more LEGO Star Wars: Skeleton Crew sets arriving at some point is now looking slim, if the Disney+ show’s ratings are anything to go by.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew launched on Disney+ on December 2, 2024, with a two-part premiere of the latest live-action TV show set in a galaxy far, far away. The series was created by Christopher Ford and John Watts and follows a group of kids trying to find their way home after being transported into deep space, accompanied by a cranky pirate droid and the mysterious Jod Na Nawood.

Unfortunately, the Nielsen ratings for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew have proven to be less than stellar, which now makes the chances of a second series much less likely. According to The Direct, the Disney+ show’s premiere boasted the least amount of views of any Star Wars TV series to date, with fewer than 382 million minutes watched in the first week, 20% fewer than The Acolyte during its first seven days of release.

Only one LEGO Star Wars set based on Skeleton Crew has been released so far, in the unique shape of 75374 The Onyx Cinder. The look of the pirate craft reflects its appearance in earlier episodes of the show, before it discards its external armoured shell to reveal a much sleeker ship underneath.

No LEGO Star Wars models have been released to date to support The Acolyte, making it extremely unlikely that any additional Skeleton Crew sets will be forthcoming now that the show’s ratings have been revealed to be so dire.

Fortunately, there are plenty of LEGO Star Wars sets already on the cards for 2025, which many more builds rumoured to be arriving throughout this year.

The Star Wars: Skeleton Crew series finale is now airing on Disney+ for all subscribers, completing the full line-up of Season 1 episodes.
