Eight Easter eggs in the LEGO summer 2025 sets

There are many Easter eggs to LEGO history and culture in the LEGO summer 2025 sets, including these highlights referencing Bigfoot and more.

The LEGO Group and retailers have revealed what’s next for various themes over the summer, with hundreds of set listings and images to analyse while we wait for their releases in June and August. Including references and Easter eggs in such models is nothing short of a necessity, and thankfully, the summer 2025 models are no exceptions.

From LEGO City to Marvel and more, here are some of the best Easter eggs that we spotted in the summer 2025 LEGO sets.

A red Orient Express

LEGO City’s 60469 Central Train Station pays tribute to an older era of trains with a poster depicting a steam locomotive in the upstairs waiting area. This train is almost identical to the LEGO Ideas 21344 The Orient Express Train set, but coloured red instead of blue.

Space Police returns

LEGO Friends 42674 Comic Book and Game Shop is not only a source of interesting Castle and Classic Space elements, but it’s home to the latest Space Police Easter egg too. The shop is selling a copy of the retired 5974 Galactic Enforcer, and it’s almost certainly going to be a pricey purchase for any nostalgic mini-dolls.

The Creeper’s origins

LEGO Minecraft 21276 The Creeper is not only an accurate upscaled recreation of the iconic in-game creature, but within the Creeper’s head hides a reference to the creature’s origins. The Creeper was born from an accidental iteration of the pig, where its body was coded incorrectly to be tall, creating an abomination that served as the foundation for the Creeper.

A surprise Galidor cameo

Also in LEGO Minecraft, via 21279 The Enderman Tower, there is at least one reference to Galidor. The Dimensional Defender minifigure is undoubtedly intended to be Nick Bluetooth with a black arm and chest harness. It’s harder to tell whether or not the Realm Raider is meant to be Gorm, but there are similarities in their colour schemes.

Ultimate Spider-Man’s Green Goblin

LEGO Marvel 76324 Spider-Man vs. Oscorp is home to some enticing minifigures, including a unique Green Goblin. This is a modified take on the recent iteration of the character from the Ultimate Spider-Man comic run, embracing an armoured version of the Green Goblin with an angular glider.

The Chao Garden

77006 Team Sonic Command Truck is home to another Sonic the Hedgehog game reference. The Hero Garden – a Chao Garden from Sonic Adventure 2 – appears as a decorative element in the set, but we’re still waiting for any kind of LEGO Chao.

Anti-Venom strikes a familiar pose

76317 Peter Parker’s Apartment offers another LEGO Marvel Easter egg, this time leaning into pop culture and history. Anti-Venom’s pose on the computer sticker is a reference to the iconic Bigfoot walking image from the 1967 Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot film, showcasing a creature that is stated to be the mythical Bigfoot..

A Monster Fighters villain is back

The vampire minifigure in 31167 Haunted House is likely a reference to Lord Vampyre’s Bridge, who similarly appears in the retired 10228 Haunted House. There’s no traditionally male vampire in 31167 Haunted House to accompany this character this time, though.

Jack Yates

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
