First teaser trailer for Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings shows off LEGO sets
The first teaser trailer for Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has finally arrived, giving us a first glimpse at the inspiration behind the film’s tie-in LEGO sets.
While the enormous water dragon in 76177 Battle at the Ancient Village is absent from the trailer, there’s a very brief shot of a car chase that could allude to the contents of 76176 Escape from the Ten Rings.
More importantly, though, this teaser marks our first introduction to the eponymous Shang-Chi, alongside the film’s other characters who we’ve already met in LEGO form. (This movie’s marketing schedule might not have gone exactly to plan.)
Chief among those are Katy and Razor Fist, both of whom are included in 76176 Escape from the Ten Rings. But this is also our first look at Tony Leung as Wenwu, or the real Mandarin, who’s included in both of the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings LEGO sets.
Hit play on the video above to check out the teaser trailer for yourself. We still don’t have a firm launch date for either of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie’s sets, but given they’re already appearing in stores all over the world, we can’t be far off an official reveal and release now.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will arrive in cinemas worldwide on September 3.
