Five things LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71037 Series 24’s koala can hold

LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71037 Series 24 introduces a new koala piece that can grip bricks, offering crossover potential with other elements.

One of the 12 new minifigures featured in 71037 Series 24 is the Conservationist. The highlight of this minifigure is undoubtedly the new koala brick. Based on the real animal, this piece can grip tightly onto other pieces with a bar connection.

There are a lot of elements and models that use bar elements in them somewhere so ahead of 71037 Series 24’s release on January 1, 2023, here are five more things the new LEGO koala can hold.

5 – Railings

For the safety of minifigures, railings are included in several models but there are two especially interesting places to feature 71037 Series 24’s koala with far different builds.

21318 Treehouse is arguably the most suitable set to display the LEGO koala with and bar elements can be found throughout the creation, though mostly as railings. Alternatively, 76178 Daily Bugle’s fire escape is a more adventurous location for the plastic koala as long as they avoid the many villains.

4 – Webbing

On the subject of 76178 Daily Bugle, there’s another important part of the huge model that has a bar element – Spider-Man’s webbing.

With another piece coming that is similar to this string and plastic element, Spider-Man’s webbing can be found in several models featuring the hero including 76184 Spider-Man vs. Mysterio’s Drone Attack. The koala would have to hold on tight, but you could always give Spider-Man a furry friend come January 2023.

3 – Mythical weapons

From Monkey King’s staff in LEGO Monkie Kid to Mjolnir in LEGO Marvel, mythical LEGO weaponry all feature a bar piece so that minifigures can grip them, and thankfully so can the koala.

Choosing this option will also allow you to test whether the LEGO koala is worthy enough to wield Thor’s hammer, despite it being nearly the same size as it.

2 – A time machine

The base build of 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine features the lightning rod and hook from the first film which, you guessed it, uses bar elements.

We’d advise making sure that the koala is both holding on tight and that the lightning rod isn’t currently in use before displaying the koala here, but it could be fun to have people try and spot the furry outlier on 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine when it’s on display.

1 – A lightsaber

Whether your LEGO koala is with the dark side or the light is up to you as the LEGO Star Wars lightsabers are almost entirely made up of bar elements, allowing you to equip the new brick with one of these legendary armaments.

To fully embrace a koala takeover of LEGO Star Wars, 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama has vines that the koala, or multiple koalas, can grip onto too.
