Five possible directions for the rumoured LEGO Star Wars May the 4th 2025 GWP
This year’s LEGO Star Wars May the 4th gift-with-purchase is rumoured to break records for promos from a galaxy far, far away, so here are five possible directions it could take…
New details on the LEGO Star Wars May the 4th 2025 GWP suggest it will include 190 pieces and three minifigures, which is two more minifigures than any previous May the 4th set (with the exception of last year’s 40686 Trade Federation Troop Carrier, but do Battle Droids really count?). That’s still only a rumour at this point, but it does give us a nice launchpad to toss around some ideas for this year’s freebie.
Taking into consideration the wider Star Wars landscape in 2025, as well as the sets currently rumoured for May 1, here are five potential paths the latest LEGO May the 4th gift-with-purchase could follow.
5 – Revenge of the Sith vignette

2025 is the 20th anniversary of Revenge of the Sith, a stat that’s enough to make anyone who remembers watching it in cinemas crumble to dust. The LEGO Group hasn’t done much to celebrate the occasion so far beyond debuting 75402 ARC-170 Starfighter (and even that could be argued as a Clone Wars set), but it could easily follow last year’s Phantom Menace-themed May the 4th GWP with a Revenge of the Sith model for 2025.
The minifigure count opens the door to a vignette of any number of iconic scenes from the movie, too. How about the duel between Mace Windu and Chancellor Palpatine, with Anakin Skywalker standing by to turn the tide at the last moment? Or the duel between Yoda and Emperor Palpatine, with a Royal Guard for good measure? Or the duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi, with Padmé or R2-D2 to complete the scene? (There were a lot of duels in Revenge of the Sith.)
May the 4th gifts-with-purchase generally don’t receive new moulds, so rein in your expectations for its minifigures – but a new print is possible at least.
4 – Jango Fett’s apartment

Rumours of this one are currently floating around the web, but it’s hard to pinpoint the original source, so they’re probably not worth taking seriously at the moment. The idea is a decent one, though: a small model of Jango Fett’s apartment on Kamino, tying in with the rumoured 75409 Jango Fett’s Starship, which is said to be this year’s May the 4th Ultimate Collector Series set.
The minifigures would be obvious – Jango, Boba, Taun We – but potentially derivative of both the UCS set and the also-rumoured play-scale 75433 Jango Fett’s Starship, which is a big blocker on this idea. There is a path to something different, though: Jango out of his armour, Obi-Wan Kenobi (re-used from his Jedi Starfighter, which is still on shelves) and perhaps a different Kaminoan to Taun We.
3 – The Force Awakens vignette

This year is not only the 20th anniversary of Revenge of the Sith but also the 10th anniversary of The Force Awakens, and the LEGO Star Wars team is said to be doffing its cap to the first sequel movie with 75406 Kylo Ren’s Shuttle and 75415 Kylo Ren Helmet. Given neither of those are likely to include minifigures, a May the 4th gift-with-purchase could be a good way to revisit the sequel trilogy’s major players for its anniversary year.
There’s plenty of potential in Episode VII too, from a duel between Kylo Ren, Rey and Finn on Starkiller Base to Finn, Rey and BB-8 wandering the sandy dunes of Jakku. It would be slightly surprising to see so many unique characters in a May the 4th GWP, but we’re already in uncharted territory here on numbers alone.
2 – Mini Star Wars logo

Here’s a slightly more left-field idea: how about a miniature version of the rumoured 75407 Star Wars Logo? The safe money for that set is on something akin to 76313 MARVEL Logo, albeit without the accompanying minifigures (it’s not rumoured to include any), so a smaller version could lean into the LEGO side of things with a bite-size build and a trio of accompanying minifigures.
We could then get one character from each trilogy – probably Anakin, Luke and Rey – or just the main heroes from the original trilogy in Han, Luke and Leia. It could then act as a kind of precursor to the rumoured 75419 Death Star later in the year too…
1 – Andor vignette

Perhaps the least likely candidate on this list is a vignette hooked to Star Wars: Andor, not because the series is unworthy (it isn’t) or the timing is wrong (it isn’t), but because the LEGO Group has been mysteriously reticent to touch the show widely regarded as some of the best Star Wars content around full stop. We’ve had just the one set so far, while two more (a U-wing playset and a buildable K-2SO) are rumoured for 2025.
May the 4th could be a good place to explore another side of this series, though: we’d never have seen something as banal as Aunt Beru’s kitchen as a regular retail set, but we did get it as a gift-with-purchase. A small slice of Luthen Rael’s Galactic Antiquities and Objects of Interest or Mon Mothma’s apartment would be a nice way to bring in some of the wider cast of the show while Andor fever is in full force amidst Season 2’s programming on Disney+.
Further details on this year’s May the 4th GWP exist firmly in the field of speculation for now, but it’s already March (where is 2025 going?), so the event will be here before you know it. In the meantime, the next LEGO Star Wars set to hit shelves will be 75429 AT-AT Driver Helmet on March 1.
