Full details of LEGO 2K Drive Season 2 have been officially revealed

Following an early reveal by Nintendo, full details of what to expect from LEGO 2K Drive’s Season 2 pass have now been officially announced.

LEGO 2K Drive received additional content back in June of this year, with the Season 1 Drive Pass including cars inspired by the Fast & Furious, the debut of Bricklandia’s Fast Crew, multiple Brick Packs and stickers, plus a total of 101 premium rewards to unlock. Now the video game racer is getting yet another batch of goodies, with the Season 2 Drive Pass officially revealed to be launching on September 13.

From tomorrow, all LEGO 2K Drive players will have access to 100 new tiers, the ability to earn 22 free rewards, add three vehicles to their collections and much more. Those who purchase the Premium Drive Pass, which is included in the Year 1 Drive Pass will also receive the ability to earn 103 Premium Rewards.

The latter option offers up 11 new vehicles and 10 new drivers, with creations inspired by the LEGO City design team. Fun rewards are said to include a water-ready unicorn in pool-floaty form, a drivable couch, a Viking ship and even more quirky items. The Premium Drive Pass Season 2 also comes with additional Brick Packs and stickers for customising your creations in the Garage.

LEGO 2K Drive seasons aren’t time-limited, so it’s possible to pick and choose what you want to play through and upgrade from a free version of a season to instantly unlock all rewards based on your current level. There’s no official word yet on the price of the Season 2 Drive Pass, but Nintendo’s UK storefront indicates it will cost £8.99 on its own (though you’ll have automatic access if you have the Year 1 Drive Pass).

On top of all those Season 2 goodies, LEGO 2K Drive recently added a Brick Brawl mode to the game, a 3v3 online multiplayer mode that can also be played in 1v1 local splitscreen. The aim is to cause as much mayhem as possible, wrecking opponents’ cars using obstacles dotted around each stage and by grabbing destructive power-ups.

LEGO 2K Drive’s Ranked Multiplayer Online Modes have also now been introduced to the game, allowing for ranked competition bouts with parties of up to three players. The Ranked leaderboards are reset at the end of each two-week’s heat and completing the season in Ranked Multiplayer offers up even more rewards.

LEGO 2K Drive is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch and PC.
