Hasbro’s 2023 Indiana Jones toys may hint at potential LEGO sets

A first look at new Hasbro toys scheduled for release in 2023 could offer a glimpse at potential future LEGO Indiana Jones products.

Taking place over the weekend, Hasbro Pulse Con 2022 was a virtual event that served as a showcase for the company to reveal its future toy line-up. As well as new Star Wars, Marvel and Transformers products, Hasbro also debuted a first look at Indiana Jones products due out next year.

Included in the reveals was a new 6-inch Indiana Jones Adventure Series of action figures, a Staff of Ra Headpiece electronic talisman (yes, really) and a retro Indiana Jones figure. No new toys were shown so far that might be based on the upcoming fifth Indiana Jones movie out June 30, 2023, but there’s probably a good chance they could be on their way at some point.

Hasbro’s first step back into the world of Harrison Ford’s adventurer archaeologist may also be a similar path for other companies to take when it comes to getting new Indiana Jones products to market. In fact a recent rumour suggests that the LEGO Indiana Jones theme may be returning next year, with eight potential sets split between the existing films and the new movie.

The first three sets have been reported as being 77012 Fighter Plane Chase, 77013 Escape from the Lost Tomb and 77014 The Temple of Doom, with 77016, 77017, 77018 and 77019 rumoured to tie into the fifth Indiana Jones film. In addition, a new minifigure of Indy is said to be on the way that could include a shoulder bag, whip and a dual-moulded hat with hair, plus a hat band that is a darker shade of brown than the rest of the element.

There’s been no confirmation whatsoever from the LEGO Group regarding any of the above rumours, so do treat this information with caution for now.
