Indiana Jones 5 release date officially revealed

Star Wars Celebration isn’t just for a galaxy far, far away as the release date for Indiana Jones 5 has been officially revealed.

The next instalment in the Indiana Jones franchise has been announced to release on June 30, 2023, as the film made an appearance with Harrison Ford at the Lucasfilm showcase at Star Wars Celebration 2022.

Ignoring the name of the event, the fifth Indiana Jones movie may be a chance for the LEGO Group to bring back the classic theme, though nothing has been officially confirmed yet. However, now that a release date is known we can at least look forward to another adventure in just over a year from the time of writing.

Nothing more was said about the film at the event, though the showcase did include a first look at the movie with the adventurer silhouetted crossing a rope bridge. The film is being directed by James Mangold.

The last LEGO Indiana Jones set was released in 2009 as part of 18 models that covered all four films. We’ll have to see if all five movies can be represented in bricks by June 30, 2023.

The initial Star Wars Celebration panel also confirmed release dates and windows for Andor, Ahsoka and The Mandalorian Season 3 as well as announcing a brand new show starring Jude Law titled Skeleton Crew.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
