Last chance to stock up on LEGO Star Wars 212th Clone Troopers

Issue 94 of the LEGO Star Wars magazine is just days away from landing on shelves, so this is your last chance to stock up on 212th Clone Troopers in the current issue.

If any remaining copies of Issue 93 are still available near you – and given the quantities we’ve seen people amassing on social media, they may well not be – you’ve only got until April 4 to snap them up. From April 5, supermarkets, retailers and newsagents will be stocking Issue 94, which includes a free mini buildable X-wing starfighter.

That’s a bit of a step down from Issue 93’s 212th Clone Trooper, which is only otherwise available in 75337 AT-TE Walker. You do get three in that £119.99 / $139.99 / €139.99 set (the LEGO Group calls it a gigantic battle pack for a reason), but the LEGO Star Wars magazine at £4.50 is a much more affordable way to build your own Republic army.

If you can’t find it on shelves, the good news is that the price of the 212th trooper has dropped significantly on BrickLink since it appeared in the LEGO Star Wars magazine. Back in October 2022, the minifigures were selling for around £13 a pop – but you can now pick them up for as little as £5.55 each at the time of writing.

Issue 95 of the LEGO Star Wars magazine will return to form with one of 2022’s best minifigures attached to the front cover. Until then, we’ve got Issue 94 to look forward to, which definitely isn’t derivative of this year’s first (and so far only) LEGO Star Wars polybag

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
