LEGO Icons 10294 Titanic’s latest restock couldn’t last forever

It’s a tale as old as time (or at least November 2021): LEGO Icons 10294 Titanic has sold out yet again in the UK and Europe.

While the LEGO Group manages to keep up with demand for most of its sets these days, including heavy hitters that at one time or another have been difficult to come by – 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine, 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck – there’s one set that’s constantly sailing in and out of stock at LEGO.com, at least east of the Atlantic.

10294 Titanic is available now in the US, but has shifted to ‘temporarily out of stock’ in the UK and Europe once more. If you were hoping to snag it to qualify for 40580 Blacktron Cruiser, a Classic Space gift-with-purchase that’s currently free with orders above £170 / $190 / €190, you’ve unfortunately missed the boat (ahem).

A massive, 9,090-piece set like 10294 Titanic – which retails for £589.99 / $679.99 / €679.99 – is perfect for scooping up any and all available gifts-with-purchase in one fell swoop, so fingers crossed it returns in time for 40583 Houses of the World 1, which is expected to be available as a gift-with-purchase from January 15, with orders above £250 / $250 / €250.

For now, 10294 Titanic must leave Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List, which tracks the very best sets currently available at LEGO.com in the UK. If you’re reading this from the US, you can still buy the third-biggest LEGO set of all time (by piece count), but there’s no telling how long it will remain in stock.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
