John Lewis has slashed the price of this year’s new LEGO modular building, bringing the entry price of 10312 Jazz Club down by a smooth 20%.

Foot-tapping its way into the Modular Buildings Collection this January just gone, 10312 Jazz Club trades on groovy riffs, blistering sax solos and the home comforts of Italian food, pairing its slice of LEGO nightlife with a perfectly-pitched pizzeria. The latest LEGO modular building had a tough act to follow in 10297 Boutique Hotel, but has found success by steering away from the glitz and glamour of high-end accommodation and heading downtown, where a diner and detective’s office have already set up shop. 10312 Jazz Club’s appeal comes first from its colour scheme – this is the first predominantly dark red building in a good while – and second from its subject matter.

Inside the duo of buildings you’ll find a complete stage setup with chairs, along with a kitchen for the pizzeria – and an open walkway between the two, so you can take your pie to the show. Nestled above the club is the manager’s office, and above that a tailor, complete with its own street-level entrance.
