LEGO 40687 Alien Space Diner GWP out of stock in the UK

Collectors in the UK will now have a much tougher time picking up 40687 Alien Space Diner, with the GWP currently out of stock online.

Three LEGO Space freebies became available from May 14, 2024, with qualifying orders bagging customers 40687 Alien Space Diner and two polybags. Since then, 30663 Space Hoverbike and 30682 NASA Mars Rover Perseverance were quickly snapped up ahead of their May 21 expire date, leaving just one promotional build remaining for this month.

However, it now looks as if 40687 Alien Space Diner may well follow suit, with the GWP currently out of stock in the UK, although those in the US and Europe can still get hold of the set… for now. The 239-piece build is free with spends of $100 / €100 until May 26 (or while stocks last), but there’s no guarantee the model will stick around until next week.

40687 Alien Space Diner is certainly an impressive set, one that includes white and orange astronaut minifigures, as well as a retro futuristic eatery, complete with a green, tentacled server. It’s worth noting that neither minifigure comes with an airtank, but both pieces are readily available thanks to the Pick a Brick service.

UK collectors who have missed out on 40687 Alien Space Diner online may still be able to get lucky by enquiring about the GWP at their local LEGO Store or, alternatively, they’ll need to turn to the secondary market to secure the promotional set.

The next LEGO GWP to keep an eye out for will be 40693 The Lord of the Rings: Fell Beast (reviewed here), available from June 1 to June 7 with purchases of 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr, while stocks last, although the Middle-earth set is highly unlikely to hang around for long.
