LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser – everything we know so far

From its piece count and minifigure line-up to its size and expected release date, here’s everything we know about LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser so far.

This year’s second LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set (following May’s 75355 X-wing Starfighter) is the first to draw specifically from The Clone Wars (rather than the prequel trilogy), and celebrates the era’s 20th anniversary with specific details and characters. The enormous flagship cruiser has yet to be officially revealed by the LEGO Group, but has already turned up on shelves in Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

That means that while the finer details are not necessarily concrete at this stage, there is plenty about 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser that we do know already. Dive in to learn everything there is to know about the LEGO Star Wars UCS set (so far) below…

LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser source material

The Venator made its on-screen debut in the prequel trilogy, most memorably featured in the battle above Coruscant in Revenge of the Sith. But the flagship also featured heavily in the animated series The Clone Wars, and it’s from there that 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser takes its inspiration. We know this thanks to a couple of key details – firstly its characters (more on those in a sec), but also its red bridges, which together suggest that this Venator is Anakin Skywalker’s Resolute.

That cruiser has plenty of narrative history, featuring in no fewer than six major battles and campaigns throughout the Clone Wars. An updated Clone Wars Anakin Skywalker minifigure would have been the icing on the cake…

LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser piece count

From the initial images of the box, we know that 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser weighs in at exactly 5,374 pieces. That makes it the fourth-largest LEGO Star Wars set of all time, right behind 75192 Millennium Falcon, 75313 AT-AT and 75331 The Razor Crest.

It’s also a total 590 pieces more than 2019’s 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer, the closest contemporary to this cruiser, and includes the first Clone Wars 20th anniversary logo piece (which, like its Return of the Jedi equivalent, is presumably printed).

LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser size

While we’re comparing flagships: 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser measures 109cm long, which puts it precisely 1cm shorter than 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer. The dimensions on the back of the box indicate the Clone Wars cruiser also stands 32cm tall, which is a good deal squatter than the Star Destroyer at 44cm high. Both those measurements include the height of the stand. In short: you’ll need a seriously massive space to display both side-by-side.

LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser minifigures

Like the vast majority of recent Ultimate Collector Series set (75313 AT-AT notwithstanding), 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser includes two minifigures – and they’re both exclusive to this set. Admiral Yularen makes his Clone Wars debut, while Captain Rex shows up in his Phase II armour for the first time since 2013’s 75012 BARC Speeder with Sidecar.

While Yularen is likely to remain forever exclusive to the Venator, we’d put good money on another version of Rex – perhaps without printed arms – showing up somewhere down the line.

LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser price

We don’t yet know the price of 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser around the world, but it’s apparently on sale at Kuala Lumpur International Airport for RM 2,849. That’s equivalent to roughly £488 in the UK, but you can never expect the LEGO Group to offer direct conversions between currencies, for reasons too many to dig into here. Suffice to say for its piece count and size that we’re probably looking at something closer to 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer, at roughly £600 in the UK.

LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser release date

The LEGO Group has also yet to confirm when 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser will be available to the general public, but rumours have been swirling for a while that it will land on shelves on October 1, 2023. Whether that’s a wide release date or in early access for LEGO Insiders remains to be seen, but given the timing of its appearance on shelves in Malaysia, a full launch must be right around the corner.

Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
