LEGO Marvel 76232 The Hoopty price and release date confirmed

LEGO Marvel 76232 The Hoopty is finally up on LEGO.com, confirming the international pricing and release date for the upcoming set based on The Marvels.

The reveal of the 420-piece set has followed a fairly predictable pattern for LEGO products these days: first it popped up on the building instructions server, then a retailer shared the first small images, and now it’s got a full product listing on the official online store. And with that, we have confirmation that the set – which, remember, contains just 420 pieces – will retail for £84.99 in the UK, $89.99 in the US and €94.99 in Europe.

76232 The Hoopty is hooked to the semi-sequel to Captain Marvel, titled The Marvels, which arrives in cinemas November 10. You’ll be able to get your hands on its tie-in LEGO set roughly a month earlier, as it starts shipping from LEGO.com on October 1 – and is available to pre-order now. The model includes three minifigures of Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel and Photon, alongside Goose the Flerken and two kittens.

The spaceship’s roof lifts up to reveal a cockpit and interior with room for all three characters, along with the vehicle’s ‘scientific equipment, records and other accessories’. Otherwise, it’s a very grey affair, as often seems to be the case for Marvel vehicles. (Look: there goes 76248 The Avengers Quinjet.)

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
