LEGO Ahsoka set is no place for a Rebels reunion
LEGO Star Wars 75357 Ghost & Phantom II is set during Ahsoka, so the reappearance of a brick-built Ghost is no place for a Rebels gang reunion.
With the release date of Disney+’s Ahsoka series fast approaching, the recently-revealed LEGO Star Wars 75357 Ghost & Phantom II includes a picture of the former Jedi on the box, despite her minifigure not appearing in the set. This, along with the appearance of new characters and Hera’s son Jacen, ties the set to the live-action Ahsoka series, rather than the animated Rebels.
While this offers an exciting sneak peek into the upcoming show, it does mean that this return to a LEGO Ghost and Phantom is visiting the ship at its current place in the timeline, rather than making a nostalgic return to the beloved ship during its Rebels era. Not only that, but it also means that key minifigures like Kanan Jarrus won’t accompany the ship due to the fact that (spoiler alert) he died at the end of Rebels, leaving behind Hera and their son.
Still, that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to get your hands on the entire Rebels gang, including Kanan. An official minifigure version of him has already appeared in a number of (now retired) LEGO Star Wars sets, including 2017’s 75170 The Phantom and 2014’s 75053 The Ghost. Indeed, one version of him is selling for as little as £5 on BrickLink (although this can rise to £230 in some cases).
Indeed, Hera and Chopper are the only two original Ghost crew members appearing in 75357 Ghost & Phantom II, with Sabine, Zeb, and Ezra also missing. With both Sabina and Ezra promised to return in Ahsoka, it could well be that we’ll get updated minifigures for both of those characters, while it seems less likely for Zeb, who made just a brief appearance in The Mandalorian.
