LEGO Avatar: The Last Airbender returns – in Fortnite

LEGO Avatar: The Last Airbender is back, at least digitally as new LEGO Styles have been released in Fortnite inspired by the animated series.

Following a LEGO Style for Korra From Avatar: The Legend of Korra in the current Battle Pass, the collaboration has continued to include three new outfits inspired by the original Avatar animated series. These include Katara, Toph and Zuko inspired by their appearance later in or following the show and as expected, they have LEGO Styles.

While these new LEGO Avatar: The Last Airbender minifigures are only available digitally when you pick up these new outfits within Fortnite, they’re not the first LEGO Avatar minifigures. The 2006 LEGO Avatar: The Last Airbender theme featured two sets with a minifigure of Katara and Zuko, showcasing how minifigures have evolved.

Fortnite features many LEGO Styles for licensed outfits and these new Avatar LEGO Styles are unlikely to be a sign of a return to the 2006 theme. Still, they’re available now and it’s interesting to see how their designs have been modernised.

Also coming to Fortnite as LEGO Styles soon are a range of new outfits in partnership with Coachella, including one minifigure with a minifigure head on their shirt. The non-LEGO version of this outfit features a standard yellow smiling face but the design has been adapted accordingly.

The collaboration between the LEGO Group and Fortnite continues to grow and the most recent major update in the partnership included the addition of vehicle parts within LEGO Fortnite.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
