LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 3, 4 and 5 start dates confirmed
As Series 2 of the BrickLink Designer Program enters the judging phase, the LEGO Group has confirmed when submissions for Series 3, 4 and 5 will open.
The crowdfunding scheme – which will see five new fan-designed sets available to pre-order per series – shows no signs of slowing down, as BrickLink has confirmed it will run for at least three more rounds following Series 2, which racked up a total of 190 different pitches for future LEGO sets. Community voting on those concepts finished at the end of June, and the BrickLink team is now weighing up which to progress to the crowdfunding stage.
A total of five finalists will move into the design phase, during which the LEGO Group will work with the fans behind each set to make them ready for production. Crowdfunding on the five chosen models will begin in June 2024, and any that reach at least 3,000 backers will move into production. A total of 20,000 copies of each set will be available to pre-order, with a maximum of two per household.
The same structure will presumably apply to the next three series, the start dates for which have now been confirmed by BrickLink. Series 3 will begin on September 18, 2023, Series 4 will follow in January 2024, and Series 5 will kick off in May 2024. If you missed the submission windows for Series 1 and 2, you’ve got at least three more chances to see your build turned into an official LEGO set.
The five Series 2 finalists will be announced on August 23, while we already know the quintet of LEGO sets currently being readied for Series 1’s crowdfunding phase, which begins in February 2024.

Author Profile
- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
