LEGO BrickLink to introduce new voting method with Series 11
The LEGO BrickLink team have announced a new way to vote coming with Series 11’s crowd vote stage next week, making the process easier.
As interesting as the BrickLink Designer Program turns out to be every time, one of the most arduous parts of the program is having to look through the hundreds of submissions selected for the fan vote. Whether you select a few to vote on or click through every single one, voting can take a while due to the sheer number of projects.
In order to make this task easier, the BrickLink team have announced a new method of voting designed for mobile users. All you need to do is swipe right for a positive vote and left if the build isn’t for you. This would presumably then transition you to the next project in the list until you have cast all of your votes.
This has removed one of the prior voting options, but you can still say whether you like or have no strong feelings towards a project. Comments have been quick to draw comparisons to a certain dating app, but in theory, this method should speed up the voting process.
It will go live with the start of the crowd vote for Series 11 on May 11 at noon PT, when we’ll also get to see what submissions may be chosen as finalists.
