LEGO Christmas Advent Calendars 2019: December 17

Festive feelings continue as Christmas gets closer, with door 17 on the LEGO Star Wars, Harry Potter, City and Friends advent calendar opening up

Each year the LEGO Group releases a selection of advent calendars to count down the days until Christmas with a small build behind every window. While Star Wars, City and Friends are all back this year, Harry Potter has been introduced to the festive countdown collection for the first time.

Day 17

Yesterday’s kitchen is clearly in trouble, as today’s minifigure in City is a man with a fire extinguisher. He is wearing a rather fetching knitted jumper.

Friends offers a pair of presents, which open up to reveal a tiara and a microphone. Yep, they hang.

In the Star Wars calendar, the Escape Pod from A New Hope is built at a small scale.

The final set of flags turns up in Harry Potter, with all of the Houses now represented.
