Dare to dream: LEGO Classic Space and Castle vote could have more than one winner

The LEGO Ideas Classic Space and LEGO Castle vote for a faction and colour is underway, but there could be more than one winner.

An exciting crowd vote for the upcoming Minifigure Prize Machine has just started on LEGO Ideas and will remain open until June 3. Each user has one vote for a future Classic Space colour and a LEGO Castle faction that will feature in the set. That doesn't necessarily mean that there will only be one winner in each category though.

While it doesn't happen often, occasionally the LEGO Ideas team changes their mind when a challenge or vote is popular enough and expands the winners by double.

Given the number of comments on the LEGO Ideas blog post announcing the start of the Classic Space and Castle crowd vote and the campaigns online to sway users to vote for a specific colour or faction, this vote may be popular enough to qualify.

There's absolutely no guarantee that the LEGO Ideas team will decide to double the number of winners in one or both categories of this fan vote, but it's plausible and that's undoubtedly exciting.

The most recent example of the LEGO Ideas team changing their mind when it comes to the maximum number of winners for a future set is for the '80s IP challenge, which will now result in two full sets. Comparatively, an extra two minifigures doesn't seem implausible, but nothing has been confirmed and you should only expect one of each at the time of writing.
