The second round of crowd voting for the LEGO Ideas '80s IP challenge is here as five potential sets have been revealed with familiar franchises.
After an eventful first round of voting in the LEGO Ideas '80s IP challenge, round two is beginning soon though the LEGO Ideas blog states that it has begun. The provided link is not functioning at the time of writing and we'd recommend checking back later today as there appears to be an issue.
In the meantime, the team have revealed which further five projects have the chance to become a future LEGO Ideas set based on an '80s IP. After the likes of The Goonies and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, the second round is much more familiar so long as revisions aren't required as they were before.
Notably, E.T., Beetlejuice and Gremlins were all represented in the first fan vote so it's entirely possible that either movie could receive two sets from this challenge. All three are also franchises that have been depicted with official LEGO sets before thanks to LEGO Dimensions. The game's physical products don't appear to count for the purposes of this challenge.
As Stumbledonthebrick states in the comments on the LEGO Ideas blog, this could suggest that the entries based on Beetlejuice, Gremlins and E.T. are not being picked in the first crowd vote phase.
