LEGO confirms Star Wars, Creator Expert sets retiring in 2021

The LEGO Group has added dozens of sets to its ‘retiring soon’ page at LEGO.com, across themes including Star Wars, Creator Expert, Harry Potter and Stranger Things.

The new additions confirm much of Brick Fanatics’ list of LEGO sets retiring by the end of 2021, including heavy hitters like 75810 The Upside Down, 10261 Roller Coaster, 10264 Corner Garage and 75275 A-wing Starfighter.

That means this is your very last chance to grab some of the company’s biggest and best sets, many of which are part of wider collections, like 2019’s 10267 Gingerbread House. That festive model is still on sale alongside 10275 Elf Club House (and, shortly, 10293 Santa’s Visit), but won’t return to the Winter Village line-up in 2022.

10264 Corner Garage should also be top of your list if you’ve yet to add the 2019 modular building to your LEGO city. Just like every other set in the Modular Buildings Collection before it, it’s practically guaranteed to rise in value on the aftermarket, so make sure you grab it at retail while you can.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
